Donald Joseph Qualls, better known as DJ Qualls is an American actor, producer and fashion model. Shooting to fame for his role in Road Trip he has since appeared in over 20 feature films, including The New Guy Hustle & Flow and The Core. Apart from his appearances on Road Trip he has appeared in over 22 TV programs like Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order etc. Qualls is fighting Hodgkin's lymphoma since he was 14 years old. Two years after treatment the cancer has gone into Remission. The earlier treatment had a severe impact on his health, and slowed growth. When he first started to take action, financial stability seemed like his ultimate objective. He had been in poverty throughout his early years. When he was interviewed, he said that if I don't achieve financial stability or I feel out of control in the world I will be miserable. He also looks back at his own childhood and wants to do something about the problem of bullies. He says "Cruelty causes pain to my soul." On and off the screen, DJ could like to play the role of a father. The director admits that they don't want to cast DJ in such roles. For the foreseeable future, he would like to be a father to a child.
